Expo West kicked off on Wednesday with Climate Day, which brought together leading organizations, brands and retailers to discuss how the natural products industry can step up its game in addressing climate change.
Paul Hawken, who gave the keynote at Natural Products Expo East 2016, returned to give an inspiring keynote at Climate Day at Expo West.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurs spent the day at Natural Products Business School exploring solutions to common business challenges.
A chalk artist was on hand to capture the day's learnings.
Expo-goers started their mornings with some yoga on the Plaza.
Excitement built on Thursday as the Fresh Ideas Marketplace highlighted organic producers in a lively outdoor setting.
New this year was The Park, located in the Sheraton parking lot, which had picnic tables, food trucks and free samples.
Pedicabs helped attendees get around campus and the nearby hotel area.
The Hot Products halls in the Hilton and Marriott opened on Thursday.
Four companies advanced from Wednesday's Pitch Slam semifinals to the Pitch Slam finals on Thursday: Love the Wild, Fresh Monster, Frau Fowler and Cocoburg (founder Seth Syberg is pictured here). They gave their pitches to a panel of industry judges.
The judges chose Love the Wild, a company that sells frozen meal kits containing sustainably sourced fish, as the winner.
Thursday evening, NBJ and Engredea presented the NutrAward which recognizes excellence in functional ingredients and finished products. Superba Boost by Aker BioMarine (pictured here) won the Functional Ingredient category, and Kraut Krisps by Farmhouse Culture took home the trophy in the Finished Product category.
Evenings on the Plaza brought live music, drinks and dancing to the area outside the convention center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Friday brought the much-anticipated opening of the exhibits in the Anaheim Convention Center. The product showcases outside of the hall gave attendees a way to browse new products and develop their plan for tackling the show floor.
But first—breakfast. The Boulder Brands Breakfast offered many special diet options and networking opportunities for attendees.
It wouldn't be Expo West without Bob's parade!
Many brands used their booths as a way to raise awareness about the plight of pollinators and highlight their bee-friendly efforts.
Denise Morrison, CEO of Campbell Soup Company, outlined the company's efforts to innovate for health-focused consumers in her Friday keynote.
Doug Rauch, who spent three decades with Trader Joe's company and is the founder and president of the nonprofit retailer Daily Table, kicked off the day on Saturday.
The winners of the NEXTY Awards (including Good Karma Foods, pictured here) were presented with their trophies on the show floor on Saturday.

Reserveage's annual Women in Naturals event brought together industry professionals on Saturday.
Expo wrapped up on Sunday with the last day of exhibits.

Around 80,000 professionals and 3,100 exhibitors convened in sunny Anaheim last week for the 37th annual Natural Products Expo West. Four days of conference and four days of exhibits provided education, insight and inspiration across the entire natural products supply chain—from ingredient suppliers to brands to retailers to influencers.
