Mental health was top of mind at Natural Products Expo West 2022, where supplement launches were more focused on mental clarity, mood and cognitive performance than immunity. And while innovation seemingly slowed in the supplement space overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the intentional formulations showing in Anaheim. On the personal care side, it may be consumers’ willingness to experiment with new products during lockdown that led to a surge of deodorant launches that infused new life to a category that hasn’t seen much action since Schmidt’s came around.
