Our new office building is called The Loading Dock. It’s a 60,000-square foot space that used to house a warehouse building in east Boulder. It was renovated to become the offices of New Hope Network and Sovrn Holdings, each occupying 30,000 square feet of space.
Our new building incorporates photovoltaic roof panels, as well as energy-saving mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Near the entrance, employees can charge their cell phones and other portable devices with leg power. A welcoming space greets guests.
The building was designed by OZ Architecture, which has offices in Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs. Boulder-based Quinlan Construction Inc. was the general contractor. The space is a single-floor office with a mezzanine level. Employees receive a lot of natural light from tall ceilings, windows and several large garage door openings.
The new building has a variety of conference room spaces with large windows and teleconference capabilities.
A favorite conference room is on the farthest east end of the building, where employees can open the garage door and enjoy the breeze and sounds of a nearby prairie.
When a large conference room isn’t required, employees can hold quick meetings and conversations in strategically placed seating nooks.
Every employee has an adjustable desk they can raise for standing work or lower for sitting work.
The office space has a calming vibe from details, such as the zen garden at the entrance, water features and soothing paint colors. Our new office pet fish, Omega 3, loves to swim around in his Back to the Roots Water Garden that grows fresh herbs on top. It’s office aquaponics, folks!
The large kitchen space on the farthest west end of the building has state-of-the-art kitchen equipment and plenty of room for everyone to prep and eat their lunch. This space is also used for company meetings, as well as product and recipe testing.
We manage many product samples here at New Hope Network, so it was imperative to have plenty of freezer and refrigerator space to hold them, as well as employees’ own breakfasts and lunches. Coffee lovers can fill their cup at one of three wonderfully fragrant fair-trade coffee stations.
The new office space has a brand-new fitness room complete with treadmill, stationary bikes, free weights, a ballet bar and more. Some new favorite equipment for employees are the two new Peloton bikes that feature carbon steel construction and allow riders to join virtual cycling classes in real time.
From our content team to Expo team and everyone in between, we’re always working on something creative and exciting here at New Hope Network.
The bike-friendly metropolis of Boulder, Colorado is home to New Hope Network, so it’s fitting that employees can take one of the company’s new cruiser bikes out for a ride around town.
In our previous office building, many employees never saw each other due to the layout that had us spread across several buildings and floors. In our new space, employees have more opportunities to interact and collaborate—and we’re all excited about that.
