An Israeli company, Upland, created a proprietary freeze-drying technology that binds together fruits, veggies, grains and superfoods that are blended into nutrient-dense, bite-sized snacks. The freeze-drying technology maintains at least 95% of the ingredients' nutritional value. The crunchy snacks naturally feature 20% of the daily value of vitamin C and zinc.

Major League Baseball pitchers must have a solid fastball, a sneaky curveball and a wicked slider—and know which throw works best against every batter.
For natural food and supplement brands, though, pitchers need to know if they are chasing investments, collaborators or media coverage. During Wednesday's Natural Products Expo Virtual Press Pitch, these eight brands will compete for a public relations prize package and press coverage from national magazine US Weekly.
The event begins at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday with a media panel discussion featuring Gwen Flamberg, executive editor, Beauty and Style at Us Weekly; Chloe Sorvino of Forbes magazine; Beth Lipton, food writer and recipe developer; Danny Seo, a leading voice in the natural foods space; and Kuvy Ax, owner of ROOT, the good food agency, which specializes in public relations for good food brands.
