When you reach for a snack, choose one with some nutritional benefits, advises Jessie Shafer, RD, content director and registered dietitian at New Hope Network. One easy way to ensure that a mid-morning craving or afternoon hunger attack is soothed in a healthy way is by selecting more whole-food snacks–convenient items that are based on real, whole foods such as nuts, produce and eggs.

Shafer scoured Natural Products Expo East 2019 in search for some nutritionally sound whole-food snacks and stopped by the Poshi (Elma Family Farms), NY Mushroom Co., Peckish and D'Avocado booths to highlight some nutritionally noteworthy snacks.
