You'll notice in our just-out June issue a letter from a reader asking whether grape juice offers the same heart-health benefits as red wine. According to a 2004 research study, grape juice might be even better -- the good stuff in juice gets more absorbed into your body, and of course there's no alcohol to tax your systems. That's good news for me because I love grape juice, especially now that companies are making it sans all the extra sweeteners. First Blush grape juices are a new fave; made with varietal (read: wine-type) grapes, they're refreshing and healthy without any sugar. Yet another good way to get your daily nutrients.
