McDonald's confirms creation of McPlant plant-based burger
McDonald's is finally adding a plant-based burger to its menus! Whether the McPlant will hit the U.S. is still unknown; the company revealed it would be testing the burger in some markets around the world starting in 2021. Ian Borden, McDonald's international president, hinted that the proprietary McPlant formula could be extended "across a line of plant-based products including burgers, chicken substitutes and breakfast sandwiches."
