Anneli Spielman, former conference manager at New Hope Natural Media gives some trade show insight on education offerings at the NPA MarketPlace in Las Vegas in June, including how to train and educate staff, a GMP update, how to maximize time at the trade show and consumer trends revealed.
While organizing the education program for NPA MarketPlace, which will take place June 23 to 25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, my focus was simple—to educate retailers and suppliers about marketing strategies, new consumer data and ways to maximize their show experience.
Many education offerings at this year’s show are the direct result of feedback we’ve received from past attendees. This year, NPA MarketPlace education sessions are classified as either “R,” for retailer-specific content, or “I,” for all industry members, including retailers. Highlights include:
ZingTrain’s Bottom-Line Training, Thursday, June 23, will teach retailers with limited time and resources how to use a patented training system to educate staff the “right way.”
GMP Update, Thursday, June 23, offers insights on the latest efforts by the Food and Drug Administration and dietary supplements organizations to ensure products containing unsafe or deceptively labeled ingredients do not reach the U.S. market.
Maximize Your Show Deals and Dollars, Friday, June 24, is a retailer roundtable focused on helping store owners locate show deals and maximize their time on the trade show floor.
Consumer Trends Revealed—Tips & Tricks from Natural Foods Merchandiser’s Secret Shopper Series, Friday, June 24, focuses on the best ways to answer common consumer questions, as well as effective marketing, distribution and customer service strategies.
All attendees should also gain insight from our keynote address on Friday, June 24. Tieraona Low Dog, MD, director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, will discuss how integrative medicine is impacting the natural products industry.
