Simply taking a high-quality multivitamin may reduce women’s cardiovascular disease and heart attack risk, research shows. Of more than 31,000 women with no history of heart disease, those who took a multivitamin regularly over ten years had a 27 percent lower risk than women who did not take a multi. More reason to get pumped: Taking a multivitamin consistently over a 20-year span reduced chances of developing heart disease by a walloping 41 percent.
