The use of irradiation technology is a controversial means by which to achieve food safety. Many parts of Europe, especially the UK, typically withhold approvals where products have been irradiated. In the EU, Directive 1999/2/EC has established a framework for controlling irradiated foods, their labeling and importation.
Fenchem has now become a pioneer in China in the supply of non-irradiated natural herbal extracts by using an advanced and effective way to control raw materials and final products according to British standard 13751:2002.
