How the Spare Food Co. upcycled its way to a NEXTY Award

The Spare Food Co. burst onto the natural products CPG scene at Natural Products Expo West with its first line of products: four SKUS of Spare Tonic, a probiotic sparkling tonic made with only four ingredients and containing 85%-95% upcycled whey (depending on the SKU).

At New Hope Network, our NEXTY Awards team and judges had already enjoyed a preview of this product, which was selected as the Expo West 2022 NEXTY winner in the Best New Beverage category. In this video, NEXTY program manager Adrienne Smith speaks with Jeremy and Adam Kaye about this stellar product and what comes next for this innovative and mission-driven brand.
