This full-spectrum CBD balm stick is infused with organic arnica, peppermint oil and Cornbread Hemp's proprietary flower-only CBD extract to soothe sore muscles and joints. It's also vegan, paraben-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, third-party lab tested and manufactured in a Good Manufacturing Practices Certified facility.
Moon Valley Organics' new solid shampoo bars last up to twice as long as the average shampoo bottle. They're also rich in beneficial herbs and botanicals. This SKU offers nutrient-dense wild carrot seed oil (also a UV ray protectant!). Plus, getting rid of a plastic bottle is always a boon in the beauty space.
Province Apothecary's potent blend of four, mineral-rich clays ethically sourced from British Columbia brightens skin, smoothes its texture and gives users a healthy glow. The activated clay deep cleans pores by acting like a magnet for oil on the skin. Because it is a dry formula, this product can be customized to consumers' specific needs in terms of strength and amount. (Full-body masking isn't off limits as swimsuit season approaches.)
Who doesn't love a rich, effective makeup-removing oil cleanser? This pick from Sky Organics is a luxurious first step in consumers' skin care routines. It also supports stimulation of the face muscles through massage. Users will be left feeling both moisturized and squeaky clean after washing off the silky blend of all-organic botanical oils.
Suitable for both adults and children with ultra-sensitive skin, Mustela's biodegradable lightweight moisturizer is made with 99.6% naturally derived ingredients, including organic aloe vera, organic sunflower oil and organic olive oil. And a bonus: The packaging is made from sustainably sourced sugar cane.

The Federal Drug Administration does not currently regulate the term "organic" when it comes to cosmetics, body care and personal care products. As you might imagine, this has made things especially confusing for consumers accustomed to choosing all-organic food and beverage products, and who would like to extend the same consideration to their toothpaste, shampoo and lotions.
It doesn't help that the USDA Organic program is geared primarily toward food and beverage products, which is why so few brands in the natural beauty space boast the certification; a cosmetic, body care product or personal care product must be made up of agricultural ingredients that can meet the USDA/National Organic Program production, handling, processing and labeling standards to be eligible for certification under NOP regulations.
This process can take anywhere between three to six months and must be fully completed before a natural brand's products can be marketed as certified organic.
So, with all that said, let's take some time to celebrate five natural beauty brands that are helping improve soil conditions, preserve farmworkers' health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by selling USDA Certified Organic personal care products.
