Jungle Shake Straight from the Andes Mountains in rural Ecuador, Awa's Jungle Shake uses regenerative lupin seeds, which have the highest protein amount of any legume on earth, and quinoa, a popular protein source for a decade. The interesting flavor here, banana and naranjilla, is both creamy and tart. This shake contains 21 grams protein, 3 billion CFUs probiotics and 4 net carbs—making it keto-friendly. It's also an excellent source of zinc, selenium and vitamin C. This is vegan, dairy free, soy free, gluten free, GMO free and uses stevia instead of added sugars. SRP: $39.97; 10.6 oz /10 servings
Toddler Plant-based Complete Nutrition Nutrition for babies and toddlers here, with 5 grams protein, 2 grams fiber, 2 grams added cane sugars (a spoonful of medicine helps the medicine go down, after all), and a multivitamins' worth of letter vitamins and minerals to round out this simple but nutritious and clean formulation. Apart from containing almonds, this is allergen-free, certified plant-based and USDA Organic. With 2 grams organic cane sugar, this tastes like a better formula milk substitute. SRP: $36.00; 22 oz /17 servings
Vegan Smart Organic All-in-One Nutritional Shake This century-old brand was recently purchased and rebranded, with VeganSmart part of its new look. This shake is organic, non-GMO, gluten free, dairy free, soy free, cholesterol free and diabetic friendly. It contains 4 grams sugars and stevia leaf extract for added sweetness. Master Blend Plant-Based Protein Om's new creation is a combination of its Om Master Blend and a whopping serving of plant protein. The OG Om Master Blend is a blend of 10 of the hottest mushrooms on the market—lion's mane, reishi, cordyceps, turkey tail, chaga, king trumpet, maitake, antrodia, shiitake and agaricus—along with the adaptogens ashwagandha, turmeric and ginkgo biloba. Master Blend Plant-Based Protein provides 21.5 grams of protein from pea, brown rice and pumpkin seed. There's no sugar added to this organic product; the stevia that sweetens the powder avoids those typical, telltale bitter, licorice notes. It's actually a clean taste, not any sort of dank mushroom flavor either. In addition, this blend is gluten free, kosher and vegan. Boom! SRP: $39.99; 18.27 oz /14 servings

Nutritional powders are all the rage as today’s shoppers don’t like to pop all those pills. Still, they want clean nutrition without fillers, binders and other excipients. About the only concern one might have with non-pill powders is the sweetener source and the overall taste. Even then, if a powder is mixed with a morning smoothie that contains all manner of fruits and the standard banana, perhaps the powder's flavor is not as necessary as one might imagine.
