Pantry staples had plenty to offer at Expo East this past September, making a statement with plant-based options in every format from crackers to granola, beans, pasta and sauces. These plant-based innovations reflected growing trends supporting global flavors, upcycled ingredients, supply chain transparency and more.
Furthermore, there were a variety of pantry products that were also free from the top eight allergens, demonstrating brands' continued efforts to appeal to a broader audience that might suffer from food sensitivities. Of particular note was the wide selection of products that were dairy free and gluten free.
