Pereg Natural Foods will introduce the next new super food—kañiwa—also known as baby quinoa, at the upcoming Kosherfest trade show next week. Kañiwa is an excellent source of complete protein and amino acids, is high in iron and is gluten-free. Kañiwa is dark reddish-brown in color and about half the size of a tiny quinoa seed. It cooks up quickly to resemble a smaller version of red quinoa.

Saint Louis Metro-East's newest business, BUDDERS Better Organic Seasoning Company, is accepting orders for its signature kosher and organic seasoning blends, BUDDERS Better Montreal Seasoning—Original and Spicy, via BuddersBetter.com.

Biova LLC, a leader in water soluble egg membrane ingredients for joint and skin health applications, has finalized an agreement with UK-based Blagden Specialty Chemicals Ltd. to be the exclusive distributor for BiovaDerm in the United Kingdom.

New Hampshire-based Popzup, which pioneers healthy popcorn options like its chemical- and plastic-free patented Popzup Popper microwave popcorn, won the top prize at last week's Rochester Economic Development Commission and Alpha Loft's 2016 Seacoast Start Up NH competition. Cofounders Julie and Marty Lapham started the business as an alternative to conventional microwave popcorn.
