Carlotta Mast, a 16-year veteran of New Hope Network, shared her passion for the natural products industry in an interview with Steven Hoffman, managing partner at Compass Marketing, for an episode of Compass Coffee Talk.

One expression of her passion has been her work with Naturally Boulder, the first organization in what became Naturally Network. She became a board member in 2014 and, in 2018, helped launch the first Naturally affiliate, Naturally Bay Area.

New Hope Network, Naturally Boulder and Mast’s career have continued to grow. Wednesday night, Naturally Boulder celebrated its merger with Colorado Food Works and its transition to Naturally Colorado. During the event, Executive Director Kristine Carey announced that Mast will be the chair of Naturally Colorado’s board of directors.

Mast also recently changed positions in her career. She became the first SVP of community and content strategy for Informa Markets, the parent company of New Hope Network.

Although she held positions with various companies in different industries before starting at New Hope Network, Mast said joining the natural products industry inspired her.

“When I found this industry, working at New Hope, I was able to realize that you could have real purpose in your career,” Mast said. “Finding an industry where I could really bring my purpose to life through service to the industry, and to the organization I was working for, was so important and really showed me what a career could really be like.”

Mast began her career at New Hope Network in 2008 as the editorial director of Nutrition Business Journal. From January 2021 through July, she led New Hope as a senior vice president and market leader, growing New Hope’s in-person and virtual events including Natural Products Expo West and the NBJ Summit.
