Since its founding in 2012, Suja has produced some 100 million bottles of organic, cold-pressed juice and garnered a minority investment from the Coca-Cola Company. It reported annual revenue of $65.9 million to Inc. and landed at number 13 on the list.
Giving coffee farmers direct access to consumers and retailers landed this company $23.2 million in revenue in 2015 and the No. 19 spot on the Inc. 5000 list.
Founded by a naturopathic doctor who was inspired to share superfoods with the world, Chosen Foods has product lines based on healthy fats, plant-based proteins, superfood staples and on-the-go snacks. It’s already added twice as many employees this year as last and reached distribution in 24,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada, landing it at No. 47 on Inc.'s list.
Austin-based Chameleon Cold-Brew’s 100 percent organic, fair trade cold-brew coffee has a presence in retail stores in all 50 states in the U.S. Cofounder Chris Campbell told New Hope last year that the company was expecting “explosive growth,” and that seems to have been the case as it landed in the 140 spot on Inc.’s list.
Launched in 2011, Organifi sells organic, vegan, non-GMO supplements like Daily Turmeric Boost and green juice online and in stores in the U.S. and Canada. Inc. ranked it No. 134 on the list.
This private label contract manufacturer of organic functional foods and nutraceuticals was founded in 2011, and in 2015 brought in revenue of $10.9 million. It took the 149th spot on the Inc. 5000 list.
Growing consumer demand for more humanely raised animal products is paying off for Handsome Brook Farm, which came in at No. 150. This supplier of pasture-raised eggs experienced 2,371 percent growth over the last three years and is sold in retail chains across the country.
This $120 million brand was built on repurposing a typically discarded coffee byproduct—the coffeefruit’s red pulp—into a delicious drink loaded with antioxidants. This marks its third year on the Inc. 5000 list.
Another online supplement maker made the Inc. 5000 list, coming in at No. 181. Washington-based Seeking Health markets supplements without preservatives, colors, titanium dioxide, coloring or gluten.
Three former collegiate athletes founded Health Warrior, which makes chia-based superfood bars, in 2010. Today their fledgling natural foods business brings in nearly $10 million a year and occupies spot 205 on Inc.’s fastest growing list.
With 1,767 percent three-year growth, Kohana Coffee landed the No. 225 spot. These roasted coffees and ready-to-drink cans are sourced from a special Hawaiian coffee bean, as well as other coffee growing regions around the world.
Humm Kombucha’s effort to offer an affordable beverage in bulk in order to minimize environmental impact has secured it the No. 238 spot Inc.’s list.
These sophisticated gummy vitamins for adults and children boast quality science behind and ingredients within. The company fills the No. 294 spot with 1,339 percent three-year growth.
Since launching in 2011, this meal delivery service focuses on healthy ingredients and catering to those following special diets, including bodybuilders. With delivery throughout the Northeast and Florida, Inc. ranked Fresh Meal Plan No. 409.
