Celebrity chef Carla Hall attracted dozens of women and several men to the Glow Stage at Newtopia Now in Denver, Colorado, in August.
During her keynote address, “The Joyfulness of Aging Well with Carla Hall,” she observes that being young is like owning a new care while getting older is akin to driving a classic vehicle. She compares meal-planning after the age of 50 with creating military strategy.
But she's not afraid of what happens next.
“Whether you have a new car or an old car, a new body or an older body, the constant is change—and I talked about an oil change, but the constant is change,” Hall said. “And the only way I know how to maintain my joy about whatever age I am is to accept and embrace the change.”
