Cargill unveils new products featuring Zerose natural sweetener
March 9, 2010
One of Cargill’s natural solutions to the nation’s sweet tooth – Zerose™ erythritol – will be featured prominently at this year’s Nutracon 2010 as the company sponsors the event’s Mainstreaming of Natural Sweeteners Track. Zerose™ erythritol is a natural bulk sweetener that tastes like sugar but has zero sugar, zero calories, zero aftertaste and zero artificial ingredients.
While industry experts and attendees gather at Nutracon March 10-11 to explore practical reduced-calorie options that will satisfy consumers’ taste buds, they’ll also be sampling products with Zerose™ erythritol including indulgent reduced calorie chocolates and refreshing zero-calorie mint lozenges. Cargill also will feature very creative prototypes and products at this year’s Natural Products Expo West, March 12-14 at the Anaheim Convention Center. In addition to the sweet tastes of the Zerose™ natural sweetener prototypes, stop by booth # 434 to taste-test the latest products made with Cargill’s health-promoting ingredients including:
· Gluten-free bread made with Oliggo-Fiber® inulin to support digestive health and help enhance calcium absorption
· Goji berry antioxidant beverage made with Barliv™ barley betafiber to help lower cholesterol
· Quest Products Cardio Chews, a commercially-available dietary supplement made with Cargill’s CoroWise™ Naturally Sourced Cholesterol Reducer™ brand of plant sterols
· Refreshing Dairy Smoothies fortified with Regenasure® glucosamine hydrochloride, a non-shellfish, vegetarian-sourced product that many customers use to promote joint health..
