What’s trending in food? California often offers cues. So, here, we look to the West Coast city of Fresno as the Fresno Food Expo announces its awards nominees.

The expo announced 33 new products, varietals and packaging concepts that were entered into the New Product Awards from 28 central California businesses.

All products entered into the New Product Awards compete for the Buyer’s Choice and People’s Choice Awards. A panel of marketing and food industry leaders narrowed the entries to 10 products to advance to the celebrity judging panel during the July 28 Fresno Food Expo tradeshow.
