When the world's second largest crop uses more water per acre than any other crop, it's easy to see a looming food and water crisis in one paddy. Lotus Foods sees opportunity. For decades the company has been spreading the word about SRI, a System of Rice Intensification that produces higher yields on fewer seeds with half the water, no chemical inputs and less labor. It sounds too good to be true, so we asked Lotus Foods cofounder Ken Lee about it and the company's More Crop Per Drop program.
